The Bowls Clubs' entry into this years' Scarecrow Trail competition fully lived up to expectations. As usual Tricia Tams produced excellent figures, Peter Pan, Captain Hook,Wendy, Michael and Tom,together with crabs lobsters, parrot and a crocodile.

Tricia wanted a boat, so obviously asked Derrick Wain and what a boat she got. Derrick went to town and launched a magnificent vessel, with guns, anchor, mast, treasure chest, the list goes on and on and topped with a carved figure head. We several visitors on Saturday due to the terrible weather but on Sunday we sold out of cream teas thanks to Chris Massi and she's promised to bake even more next year.
The green was full of potential bowlers, young and old, and some even applied for membership. Well done to Tricia, Derrick and Chris. The proceeds are split between the club and St. Peters School.
