COME AND TRY LAWN BOWLS

The bowls season is almost upon us, the green opens on Saturday April 13th, with the members keen to start and re-kindle their skills for another exciting season. Teams have been entered in the Hinckley and District Triples league, playing on Monday evenings and the Coalville and District Triples league, playing on Thursday evenings as well as various cup competitions.

Internal club competitions are being formulated and all the twice weekly friendly matches (Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons) have been arranged. All we need now is good weather for the summer!

Of course new members are the future, so come and join us and you will be made very welcome. Taster sessions are planned for three consecutive Friday afternoons after the green is officially opened i.e. April 19th, April 26th and May 3rd from 2pm to 6pm. Other dates can be arranged for those interested.

The first social evening of the new playing season is on Friday 12th April for all members, families and friends and is a Race Night to get new President Pam Rogers year off to a flying start and to benefit her chosen, Charity Rainbows.

Saturday 14th April is, as previously mentioned, the opening afternoon, and anyone interested who wants to have a try at lawn bowls will be warmly welcomed, so please come along and have a go (2pm). Just wear a pair of trainers and all equipment will be supplied, as will instruction.
